Abstract

Ring runner is moulded from a thermoplastics material which is filled with carbon fibres or particles, whereby the carbon is in the graphite phase. Used in spinning machines. Selective erosion of runner surface by yarns and consequent yarn breaks are prevented. Pref. the runner is moulded from a granulated plastics material and the surfaces of the runner which are subjected to friction have a roughened surface which has a natural or artificially induced granulated configuration.
