Abstract

A chain (3) has a base and two parallel walls, between which are upper and lower plane parallel levers (6, 7) horizontally hinged at their edges (8, 9) on the chassis walls. The other ends of the levers are horizontally hinged to a vertical plate (10) which can be displaced in a vertical direction. This plate has at its upper and lower edges, centrally placed feet. An adjustable tension spring (16) is fitted between the lower foot and a point (5) situated above the upper edge of the chassis walls. The upper foot projects vertically under a spindle (15) designed to receive the balance pan support plate. The upper lever supports an arm whose free end is connected to a rack and pinion, on the axis of which is mounted an indicating needle spindle (24).
