Abstract

The central section of the drill runs on two wheels over the ground, and carried the central hopper from which the seed is conveyed to the distributor by means of a screw. The two jib-arms pivot on axles on the central section by means of two bearings inside the axles. The seed is taken from the distributor by means of tubes to the shares projecting into the ground to make furrows. The tubes are additionally joined to the central section by means of attachments. The jib-arms are secured by means of forward-slanting cables to the central section. The bottom bearing has sufficient slack to overcome bumps, whilst the top bearing has a strip with elongated hole in into which the bolts penetrate. A hydraulic unit is positioned above the jib arms, at the outside end of which is pivot-mounted an alignment device.
