Abstract

The sealing frame, made of rubber-elastic material, has a branch intended for sealing between the inner side of the glass-pane and the inner glas groove ledge, formed as counter-bearing for the window-pane, and a branch intended for sealing between the outer side of the glass-pane and the outer glass groove ledge, which possesses a sealing-lip elastically attached to the outer side of the glass-pane, and, between the sealing-lip and the bar joining the two branches, an elastically deformable zone made up of a series of fold-like windings which, on exertion of pressure on the sealing-lip, can be compressed in the direction parallel to the pane, so that the distance between lip and bar can be varied. The outer range of the branch contg. the sealing-lip is extended by the measure of the expansion expected by pressing the branch into the glass groove. The sealing-frame has increased weather-resistance and life.
