Abstract

A gear train of a drive mechanism for driving the drive belt of weft picker of a shuttle-less loom is oiled by contact with a toothed porous oiling roller mounted on a hollow pref. perforated shaft to which oil is supplied whereby the oil leaks through the oiling roller and onto the gears of the gear train. The gear train executer an oscillatory movement and needs to be well oiled. The arrangement ensures accurate and automatic oiling of the gear train.
