Abstract

The electrical connector has a cylindrical contact pin (2) with a collar (21) a third of the way down its length and a waist (22) two thirds of the way down its length. The pin is inserted into a stepped recess in an insulating block (1) such that the collar rests on the step and the waist is gripped by inward projecting knobs (15) at the lower end of the block. A second insulating block (3) encloses the first block and is stepped internally such that the flexible knobs are prevented from leaving the pin's waist. The pin's lower end extends through into a recess in the second block's underside.
