Abstract

The device is a form of lobster pot consisting of a plastic frame composed of plastic rings (1, 2, 3) and upright tubes (5, 6, 7) welded together. The tubes and rings are perforated to ensure immersion of the pot. There is a conventional mouth (9) which can be clipped onto the opening (8). The bottom of the pot comprises two rings (10 & 11) connected by radial rods (12), also made from perforated plastic. The base is covered by plastic netting. The frame and the base of the port are separate, for eacy stowage in a small area, but can quickly be assembled by means of quick release devices. Being plastic, they are able to withstand shocks and will not corrode.
