Abstract

The fixing element consists of a bracket which is made from a plate, the two ends of which are bent over at 90 deg. in opposite directions, to provide two flanges. A slotted hole is provided in one flange with which the bracket can be fixed to a wall. A comparatively large hole is provided in the other flange. Two elastomer discs are mounted at either side over this hole and attached to the bracket by a rivet, the diameter of which is smaller than the diameter of the hole in the bracket. The corners of the bracket are bent upward to secure one of the elastomer discs in position. The rivet used is hollow and has an internal thread. The part to be supported is screwed to this rivet.
