Abstract

The preheated surface is contacted with organic resin powder and either sequentially or simultaneously with the fluidised glazing powder. The coated surface is then fired to fuse the glazing powder and drive off at least part of the resin. Pref. the resin (1-60 micron epoxy) and the glazing powder (glass) are mixed together in a fluidised bed into which the surface is dipped. A dry mix is used for glazing, and the process requires less skill than prior art, is used for glazing pottery, china, porcelain and metal.
