Abstract

A display device suitable for placing in a shop window has a fixed base (1) housing an electric motor and carrying a cover (2) rotated by the motor. A decorative turntable (3) mounted on the cover turn table has a flange (5) underneath which carries a set of coloured lamps (6), whose wiring (8) is arranged so that the lamps are switched off and on, preferably in turn as the turn table rotates. Articles for sale are placed on the turn table, and the effect of the flashing lamps tends to attract the attention of passers-by. In an alternative design the lamps are mounted in the upper surface of the turn table, under a deflector rim of e.g. transparent material.
