Abstract

Aspiration device for use in conjunction with a tilting furnace when it is emptied into a ladle for carrying molten metal to moulds, comprises a hood which covers the castling lip (5) and the receiver (8) which collets the molten metal. The hood is formed from a part of an annular channel (11) which is connected fixedly to the furnace, a chimney (15) opening downwards and joined to this part (13) of the annular channel or case by hinges which allow it to pivot horizontally or vertically.
