Abstract

The support, esp. for use in scaffolding or formwork, with components which have to be lowered as when shuttering is being stripped, is itself equipped with a simplified lowering unit, which is in the form of a lever at its end, projecting beyond the end, and able to swivel about an axis lying transversely to it, with a lock to block the swivelling motion. The lever may be two-armed, with one end forming the bearing point and the other the point of engagement for the locking device, and it may be forked with the support between the arms and the crossbar, forming the bearing point, in the shape of a rounded bolt or rotatable roller. This is simple, and facilitates rapid lowering.
