Abstract

1-alpha-Naphthoxy-3-aminoprop-2-yl nicotinates of formula (I) (where R, R' are alkyl; or R + R' and the attached N-atom are opt. satd. heterocyclic ring with extra opt. hetero-atom) are hypolipaemic, antiarrhythmic and cardiovascular protective agents. They are prepd. by esterification of the propan-2-ols with nicotinyl chloride.
