Abstract

A heated handgrip for the control lever of a vehicle, or more particularly for a handlebar grip on e.g. a motor cycle, has a moulded element shaped to fit between the tube of the handlebar and the outer grip portion. Embedded in the moulded element is an electrical resistive heating element. Two plugs extend from one end for making the electrical connections. The heating element consists of a main portion to provide warmth for the finters and a smaller perpendicular portion for the thumb. A further metal strip can be located between the grip portion and the heating element to act as a heat diffuser.
