Abstract

Pneumatic telescopic mast with automatic locking is used as a support for antennae etc. A control for unlocking, only operates on the upper mast element when extending the mast while the other elements are automatically unlocked. A pressure cylinder controls the lowest element in unlocking and clamping jaws automatically lock the individual elements when extending. Successive unlocking in retraction can be similarly performed. The control is a bolt controlled by a pressure cylinder and a row of rods. Al the processes can be operated by remote control which increases safety.
