Abstract

1369161 Silos WAAGNER-BIRO AG 22 Nov 1972 [26 Nov 1971] 54107/72 Addition to 1291688 Heading B8S A silo as described and claimed in Specification 1,291,688 includes a central column 30 which supports the roof 1 and is braced by guy ropes or tie rods 32, 34. The silo may be discharged under gravity through an outlet 8 controlled by a ring valve 11 operated by an hydraulic cylinder 25 housed in the column 30. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the silo has a flat floor (3) resting directly on the foundation 31.
