Abstract

Moisture separator for a boiling water reactor consists of a number of corrugated thin plates in the steam path. The sepd. moisture droplets flow down the plates into a collection chamber. Horizontal radial draining channels collect water droplets from the plate packets. The draining channels terminate in circumferential channels with vertical draining pipes. The moisture separatores are arranged on top of the moderator in the pressure vessel of the boiling water reactor. The moisture separators form stiffening components of the reactor structure.
