Abstract

Made from square tubing, the frame is constructed from two side halves, each comprising a rear vertical column (5) welded to a forward projecting base tube (11). This has a front foot (12) and two rear feet (13), one each side of the tube (11), and permits the sides to fit over the foot (3) of the existing wall columns (1). Bolts (4) passing through lugs hold the two columns together. Front and intermediate vertical columns (7), welded to the base (11), the spacers (10), complete the sides. Cross bracing (6) is provided to give rigidity. Horizontal extensible bars (8) hook into slots (9) in the columns at suitable heights. Containers, with skid type bases, sit on the extennible bars (8). The shelving can accommodate large containers and it may be applied to existing shelves.
