Abstract

The lifter has a frame with cross-bars between which the diggers are positioned. the digger may consist of a pair of shares or discs, or one share and one disc. The tubers lifted by the diggers are pulled up by an elevator wheel. Each share or disc is fixed to a support-ar, which in turn is fixed to a supporting-beam. The front end of the supporting beam is hinged to a pivot lever which has an eye pivot-mounted on an eccentric sleeve which in turn is mounted on a drive shaft positioned crosswise to the digger's direction of travel. The pivot lever can be moved axially on the eccentric sleeve. The drive shaft is driven by means of sprocket wheels, and a drive rod from the power take-off. The supporting beam has two slanting bars between which the support arm holding the digger is fixed.
