Abstract

The anchoring fixture is made from steel grip bent to form an L-shape. The end of one of the arms of the L is bent through 180 deg. to form an attachment for the spring. A tag projects slightly above the surface of the arm to prevent the spring slipping out of position. The other arm of the L is provided with a number of sharp triangular projections on its inner surface. These points are driven into the furniture from when the fixture is installed. Additional security is provided by a staple driven through holes in the arm into the furniture frame.
