Abstract

A compression type heat pump which can be reversed for summer or winter conditions, with two heat exchangers, each with an evaporator and condenser, with two circuits for refrigerating fluid travelling in counterflow, employs a flow reversal system with a set of four non-reversing valves, two of them being in series, located one each end of the two circuits, the other two being in parallel with a respective series valve. These valves are operated by the pressure resulting from the operation of the system, and reduce the cut-off pressure during reversal.
