Abstract

Wrist watch clasp has two legs for wrist clamping, each having a joint formed from a pin arranged crossways on the leg element which carries it so that the pin is passed through an expanded projection on the second leg element completing the joint. Both elements are engaged by a spring which urges the leg elements into the closed condition. The top surface of the flank of the element carrying the pin and that of the second element form concentric surfaces of rotation and are designed to close up at their endfaces in the legs-closed condition under the force of the spring. A space remains in this condition between the part of the pin-carrying element above the recess and the top of the expanded projection on the other element so that the elements can be pivoted against the spring enough to allow the legs to open.
