Abstract

The mounting comprises a sole plate with a supporting surface for the post base, while on the opposite side to this is a protrusion for grouting into concrete, with extending portions keying it into the latter. The protrusion (3) has a bore ending at the supporting face, and tapped to accommodate a screw securing the post in place. There can be two protrusions, each with a tapped bore and each having a collar near the free end for keying into the grout, being typically of inverted mushroom shape. The support face can have one or more wedges allowing adjustment of the horizontal position of the post.
