Abstract

The breast is for use by women who have undergone a mastectomy operation, and consists of a mass of material conforming to the natural breast shape. It has a lateral extension, ending in a rounded point and shaped to fit against the side of the chest and extending near the armpit, and a triangular top part bearing against the top of the chest. The portion conforming to the natural shape can be slightly concave in the top half. It can be accommodated inside the cup of a brassiere, with buttons or other fixing devices at the bottom for hooking to an under-garment using an intermediate strap.
