Abstract

The system is for supplying domestic and industrial plant e.g. internal and external combustion engines, and utilises a gas of small or non-existant polluting characteristics. The gas may be stored in the liquid or gaseous state in sealed high-pressure bottles, and can be either used directly or may be heated to cause gasification evaporate it before mixing it with air. Service pressure of the bottles can be 800 bars, and the fuel can be hydrogen, with which there is mixed or combined a highly odoriferous compound, to aid in the detection of leaks. The smell is preferably destroyed by combustion. Alternatively, methane can be used as the fuel.
