Abstract

Carrier for dry heat-transfer of prods. which are not solid at room temp. consists of an inert, heat-stable substrate, one surface of which is coated completely or partly with an inert, heat-stable adsorbent layer which contains a prod. which is not solid at room temp. and which is transferable at 80-300 degrees C at atmos. press., or a dispersion or or soln. of a prod. transferable in this temp. range. The adsorbent layer prevents a mechanical contact transfer of prod. to be heat-transferred; pref. consists of a resin-bonded powdered matl., and is pref. satd. with the non-solid prod. The carrier is used in processes for finishing textiles or leather, e.g. with pre-heating agents, e.g. stabilisers, dyeing and printing auxiliaries, finishing or protective agents, e.g. flame-proofing agents, bactericides, insecticides, disinfectants, or with deodorants or crosslinking agents. Carrier may also contain solid sublimatable or vaporisable prods., e.g. dispersion dyes or optical brighteners.
