Abstract

An air duct (12) divides into two branches (10) and (11) with a central wall (23). The panel (13) slides between two rows of guide pillars (19) and (20). The gap (14) in the dividing wall (23) is provided with strips of polyurethane foam (15) and (16) fixed to mountings (17) and (18). The dimensions of the polyurethane strips are so chosen that they deform when the panel (13) passes between them and exert an adequate sealing pressure without being damaged. When the panel (13) is withdrawn completely into one of the branches the strips are able to expand sufficiently to close the slot which was occupied by the panel.
