Abstract

The support structure is designed to have minimum dimensions and maximum simplicity, allowing a high degree of movement for the reflector. The basic structure is an approximate pyramid mounted on circular rails allowing 360 deg. rotation. The vertical elevation is altered by varying the effective length of the single rear leg (10) by means of an electric motor operated jack. The two front legs (4) are pivotally connected to the upper end of the rear leg (4), the three legs being pivotally connected at their lower ends to a triangular base frame (1). The reflector may be attached to each of the two front legs by individual jacks and to the apex of the pyramid by a rotating joint.
