Abstract

Composite panels are made by feeding a series of prefabricated slabs of insulating material on to a conveyor and continuously coating the slabs first withan adhesive and then with a layer of rough particles. Product is useful as weatherproof cladding for insulating buildings internally or externally. Provides in one installation a wall covering which is complete in itself or very receptive to cement based paints. The insulate slabs are pref. rigid, e.g. of expanded polystyrene, and the rough dressing comprises e.g. expanded clay pellets.
