Abstract

It consists of a centrifugal or axial fan (3) fixed into the wall between the two rooms. The fan produces an air flow until there is pressure equilibrium. This pressure equilibrium is detected by a flap (4) which pivots about a hinge (5) and is restrained by a spring (6). When there is a difference in pressure between the two rooms as due to the opening of a door or a window, or even the piercing of a wall or a ceiling, an electric current or power relay (13, 14) can detect a change in circuit current or load to the fan (3). This change can set off an alarm.
