Abstract

The inner section of the aerial (13) has a grip piece (14) attached to its end to aid the deployment of the aerial from the retracted position using an inserted key. The retracted aerial is enclosed by a casing (1) which is fixed to the vehicle body (2) and designed so that the grip piece (14) can be completely enclosed by the casing (1). The bottom of the latter has a cam ring (18) fixed to it, with a cam peg (19) cooperating with the cam ring (18) and abutting the bottom edge (17) of the bottom telescopic aerial section (16). The position of the cam peg (19) relative to the cam ring (18) determines whether or not the grip piece (14) is completely concealed by the casing (1) when the aerial is retracted.
