Abstract

A telephone cord comprises a core, pref. of pre-shrunk polyester, foil wrapped round the core, which is surrounded by a woven textile layer in pre-shrunk polyester enclosed in an insulating covering. Using polyester improved strength is obtd. and the matl. behaves better during the heat shrinking process to obtain the coiled cord.
