Abstract

The electronic cathode-ray tube circuit has a cathode-ray tube (1) with the usual electrodes (5, 7, 8, 9) including focusing electrodes (9). The focusing electrodes (9) are connected to a graphite layer (10) inside the tube which is turn connected to a high resistance helicoidal layer (11) and to an aluminium layer (12). The focussing electrodes (9) are connected to a power supply (20) through a resistor (12). The value of the resistor (12) is such that when the current supplied to the focussing electrodes (9) changes with the tube luminance or the beam current, the polarising potential to the electrodes (9) changes so as to reduce the variations and thus maintain an optimal potential.
