Abstract

An analytical cartridge consists of a main vessel made of rigid or semi-rigid plastic, transparent to radiations of wavelengths 330-700 m mu, and an auxiliary vessel, in rigid or semi-rigid plastic, which can be fitted into the top of the main vessel. The auxiliary vessel has a membrane at the bottom and a plunger. The plunger can be pressed down, breaking the membrane and allowing the contents to fall into the main vessel. The cartridge can be used for spectrophotometric determns. in the visible/ultra violet region, kinetic determns, reaction end points or general colorimetric reactions.
