Abstract

AC current is used and the valuation coils are arranged on the vehicle. Voltages are induced in the coils by the magnetic field of the guide wire through which the current flows. The voltages are the measure for the lateral deviation of the vehicle from the guide wire and for the angle of jaw between the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and the run of the guide wire. A series coil is arranged centrally on the front of the vehicle for identifying the angle of yaw in addition to the coils, which identify the lateral deviation of the guide wire.
