Abstract

The fuel is pumped from the storage tank to a filter and a compressor pump which has a pressure relief valve which can be retained against the pump pressure by a servo pressure signal consisting of a fixed restrictor position and a variable restrictor which is a plate shaped pilot valve regulated by a torque motor responding to an electrical signal composed of the gas generator turbine revolution speed, and the working turbine revolution speed and also in response to the manual lever position indicating a required output. The surplus fuel is then passed back to the low pressure source. A multi way valve has two inlets and two outlets to connect the burner intake pipes with the pressure valve and the pump.
