Abstract

The contact breaker switch has one terminal earthed, and a thyristor is included in the discharge circuit of the capacitor, storing ignition energy. From the thyristor control electrode a connection is taken containing the collector-emitter secion of a control transistor, a control capacitor and a control resistance. The resistance is simultaneously connected in parallel with a series circuit comprising the control capacitor and a discharge resistance. The discharge resistance is shunted across the base emitter section of the control transistor. The discharge current from the control capacitor uses a voltage drop at the resistance converting the collector-emitter section of the control transistor into the conductive state. The connection between control and discharge resistances is permanently connected to the non-earthed pole of the direct-current source, and the connection between control capacitor and control resistance to the non-earthed pole of the contact breaker switch.
