Abstract

The coils forming a tubular condenser as used on a refrigerator are set one above another, parallel to each other and usually comprise a single tube. Joining the parallel layers are metal bars attached to the tube so that they form a trellis or mesh. Each layer of the tube is in the form of a spiral or meander and there are >=3 parallel parts. The forced ventilation is such that it crosses the tube layers from top to bottom. The coils are used in freezing rooms or refrigerators, usually set vertically on the back of the appliance; and are more compact and give increased refrigerating efficiency.
