Abstract

Two handles (7) curve outwards from their articulation point (8). A crank arm (6) is attached to each handle (7) adjacent the articulation point (8), the other ends of the crank arms (6) being pivoted to a U shaped support piece (1). The handles can be pressed together against a coil spring (9) biasing them apart, to force a block (3) attached to the articulation point (8) towards a counter block (2) until the two touch, the block (3) having an inclined leading surface. A pin (12) on one handle (7) locates in an aperture in the other handle (7), a catch preventing the pin from being released until the handles (7) have been fully closed.
