Abstract

The temperature of the water delivered to the radiators is varied by mixing hot water from the boiler and the water returning from the radiators. A first compartment (20) in a housing (12) communicates with the boiler and the outlet (15) to the radiators, and a second compartment (21) communicates with the boiler at a lower level than the first compartment and with the return pipe (18). A passage (23) with an adjustable valve (25) joins the two compartments. A non-return valve, opening towards the housing, can be provided between the boiler and the first compartment, and can be spring loaded into the closed position.
