Abstract

A seat rests on two slides (2) and (3), able to slide axially on fixing posts (4), adjustable for height. The two slides are similar except that slide (2) has a fixing device (5). This slide has an upper slide-way (6) running for the length of the seat and fits over a lower slide-way (7), having a U section. The bottom of slide (7) is joined to fixing post (4). At the end of slide (7) is a synthetic bush with low friction properties. This is fixed by screw (9) to the lower slide (7). There are two bushes (8) in which the upper slide (6) operates. A bar (10) has projecting teeth (13) which engage locking plate (14) around a shaft (15) associated with pin (16).
