Abstract

The hollow inverted dish shaped base has a non-slip rim. The upright structure has sidewalls carrying a platform forming an upper step. The upright structure is set back from the front end of the lower part, so that the cover plate on the base forms a step preceding the upright structure. The latter incorporates several steps staggered backwards. The platform is narrower than the cover plate, but is wide enough to receive the adjacent feet of a user and to seat the user. The upright part is included within the outer contour of the floor-contacting part. The footstool travels on castor wheels except when loaded.
