Abstract

A portable oven with a casing with a lid portion (101) and a lower portion (102), and with the burner mounted inside the lid, as in the main patent, has the hinge arrangement modified to simplify closing the lid especially while it is still hot after use, to give a double jointed swining movement so that with the lid swung back, its flanged edge travels forwards a certain amount to rest somewhat forward of the flanged rear edge of the lower portion. Side brackets (104, 105) attached to the top and bottom respectively are interconnected by short swinging arms (107) and also by further C shaped arms (106). An alternative electric burner is shown which can be used inst ead of the original gas burner.
