Abstract

The swing arm is fitted with a pawl which can engage in the spiral groove of a rotating disc, to hold it in place while a number of controlled windings are developed on the bobbin sleeve, to give a thread reserve in either single or overlapping windings. The purpose is to give an automatic system to develop a reserve thread winding of constant length for each wound bobbin.
