Abstract

The roll (7) comprises a length of photographic web, attached to a paper support web, whose length is slightly longer than that of the photographic web, with the two webs wound around a reel (9) so that the paper web is secured to the latter at one end and with a short length projecting beyond the film web at the other. The roll (7) is hermetically sealed by a band of frangible material (1) attached to the projecting end of the paper web and passing around the roll (7). This band (1) has a tear tab (2) formed by a semi-circular cut across the band (1) which is then bent outwards tangentially to the film roll (7). Two slits (3, 4) are cut in the band (1) behind the tab (2).
