Abstract

Appts. for a continuous automatic process, where castings are rotated, comprises a bath for the liq. with a holder for the casting on an inclined base-plate. A row of electrodes is mounted in a holder and these electrodes can be adjusted with a double acting cylinder, working via a jib. A feed-chute in the protective hood connects with a fully automatic device for positioning the casting under the electrodes, and a pusher and tilter are provides so that the rotation of the casting exposes its entire surface to the electrodes. After treatment, the castings drop into a conveyor by means of which they can be lifted out of the bath. The process can also be used for removing rust and scale.
