Abstract

The sealing device for a rotating piston machine includes a sealing segment lodged inside a slot in the stator and pressed against the rotor by springs which can be disassembled, without disassembling the machine, through an opening in one of rotor ends. A small bar is placed between the springs and the bottom of the slot and may be disassembled independently of the sealing segments through the openings, thus releasing the springs whose presence could, otherwise, make the process more difficult. The springs may form one piece with the small bar on which they rest. The bar and sealing segments have studs in their opposed ends which lodge on the end turns of the spring.
