Abstract

The framework of this luggage rack is rigidly linked to construction parts of the cycle at three different points. One point is on the mud-guard and the other two are on the mounting ends of each of the passenger's foot rest. The better load distribution thus created will avoid damaging weaker parts of the vehicle body such as mud-guards for example. The framework is also attached to the rear chain guard and rigid square section bars extend horizontally through the sides of the frame and connect to the heads of the rear shock absorbers. All connections are formed of bolts passing through the ends of bars of the frame, thus allowing some pivoting under heavy loads.
