Abstract

The framework fits over the vehicle wheel. It consists of six clamping hooks interconnected by a pantograph type linkage. The hooks themselves that fit over the tyre have a serrated surface. The connecting linkage is built on two main struts that join two diametrically opposed clamps. The struts have a ratchet type mating surface so that they can be adjusted to a different length and are held in that position by a clamping bracket with a peg that runs in a slot in the strut. The other four clamps are held on struts that are pivoted on the two main cross struts.
