Abstract

Automatic packaging machine comprising a reel of plastic wrapping, with appropriate guide rollers and tensioning devices, a guide to establish the shape of the sleeve of film, a conveyor delivering the unpackaged products, welding and cutting devices, the machine being operated in a predetermined cycle of operation. Tensioning of the film is by an oscillating roller, and the position of the reel can be adjusted. The dimensions of the guide which shapes the film can be adjusted by moving the side and top. The angle of the film relative to the guide can be controlled by a movable roller. The operation of the machine is controlled by fixtures on the conveyor drive chain, the position of these fixtures being adjustable to give the required sequence and frequency of operation.
